District Advisory Committee GATE

INTRODUCTION
The District Advisory Committee for the Gifted and Talented Education (DAC-GATE) is dedicated to insuring that every student reaches their highest potential and to promote services and programs that meet the special needs of GATE students.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Advocate for gifted and talented students
Build a connection with district and school
Be informed about gifted and talented programs
Share and discuss program information and offer GATE updates with school, staff and parents
Provide advice and participate in the recommendation of program design and activities
Participate in professional development activities
See that services for gifted and talented students are included on the School Site Plan
Monitor the identification and distribution of GATE students district wide.

MEETING DATES
Meetings are held at the Parent Center (466 Moss Street) or Professional Development Center (680 Lst.) from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. All parents, administrators, coordinators and community members are welcome. Meetings are scheduled on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, except for breaks.
